Couples Therapy · Psychodynamic

A space to be heard, not just to argue better

Psychodynamic couples therapy for partners navigating conflict, distance, trust, or the ordinary strain of building a life together — by secure video, wherever you both are.

Welcome

Not about winning the argument

Couples therapy here isn't about deciding who's right. It's about understanding the pattern the two of you keep falling into — the same argument in different clothes, the same silence at the same moment — and finding a way to move as a partnership rather than two people defending separate positions.

I work with couples entirely by secure video, in English, French, or Greek, which makes this practice a natural fit for expatriate and multilingual couples navigating a relationship across cultures, time zones, or a second language.

Is This For You?

Couples often begin when…

  • The same argument keeps returning, unresolved
  • Trust has been damaged and needs rebuilding
  • You feel more like housemates than partners
  • A major life change has put strain on the relationship
  • Communication has become guarded or defensive
  • You're building a life across cultures or languages
Areas I Work With

What tends to bring couples here

Every relationship is different — this is simply where the work often begins.

Communication Breakdown

Conversations that escalate quickly, go quiet, or seem to happen past each other rather than between you.

Trust & Repair

Rebuilding after infidelity, dishonesty, or a breach that's left the relationship feeling unsteady.

Distance & Disconnection

A slow drift toward parallel lives — still together, but no longer quite finding each other.

Expatriate & Multilingual Couples

The particular strain — and richness — of a relationship built across cultures, countries, or a second language.

Major Life Transitions

Parenthood, relocation, career change, or illness — moments that test a partnership's shape.

Recurring Conflict

The same disagreement, again and again, in different disguises — usually pointing to something underneath it.

Practicalities

What to expect

Format Secure live video, 50 minutes, with both partners present
Languages English, French, or Greek — including sessions where partners are more comfortable in different languages
Getting started A free 15-minute introductory call, followed by an initial assessment session if we're a good fit
Location Both partners can join from anywhere — the same room or different countries
Between Sessions

The work doesn't stop when the call ends

Alongside sessions, I write regularly on the blog — including articles specifically for couples, on communication, repair, and building a shared life. Several come with a companion worksheet, available on request at the end of the post.

Need urgent help today?

Most people visiting this website are looking for therapy rather than emergency care. However, if you believe you may be at immediate risk of harming yourself or someone else, or you feel unable to keep yourself safe, please seek emergency support before arranging therapy.

  • Call 999 for an ambulance (UK only)
  • Go straight to A&E, if you can
  • Call your local crisis team — if you don't have their number, you can find one on the NHS website

If you can't do this yourself, ask someone to help you. Mental health emergencies are serious — you are not wasting anyone's time.

NHS 111 (UK only) for urgent mental health support  ·  Samaritans, 24/7 confidential helpline: 116 123 (UK only)

Once you are safe, we would be pleased to discuss whether ongoing psychotherapy may be helpful.
